The magic of Maratelli
If you decide to take a tour of the nations, just as some scholars of Maratellin do, you should visit Maratellin as your first stop. It is a nation seeped in history, beauty, and quite a bit of intrigue. But enough about that. Another important point is that Maratellin cooks are the finest when it comes to making things out of nothing. I am reminded of this fact constantly. If you can make a meal out of a bundle of twigs, a rabbit’s leg, and some herbs picked from the side of the road, then you can survive anywhere.
If you have taken to the lyre too, then you should buy one from Maratellin. It is a little expensive, but well worth it. If you sell it off in another city, it should probably fetch more, especially in the Singer’s Plain. They don’t like to admit it, but they use lyres made from Maratellin wood. If you don’t believe me, you can examine the underside of the lyres, for most lyres, there would be a small stylised B and R, which stands for Benetictos and Ralinfina, a particular brand of sturdy lyres from Maratellin, made to last.
Tomorrow we reach the Atium.
